Put The Fire Out
A fire hose spare is a good thing to put a fire out. If a lot of people would be able to utilize this type of equipment during a fire there would be a less amount of causalities during a fire. It is able to reach taller buildings that need that sense of security during a dangerous situation. I was amazed to see how well the fire department is able to maneuver around a fire during a life threatening situation. It is a good piece of equipment that almost every department has used at some point to save a life during a desperate situation.
Future Fun
My favorite part of each workday is to come home to be greeted enthusiastically by my two year old son. He is always jazzed about seeing my car in the driveway and will barely stand out of the way for me to open the door. We usually play chase around the living room for ten minutes until I give him a rest and we read a few books before it’s time for his dinner. He spends most of his dinner pointing out all the things he knows the name of in the dining room. These are simple things but they give me great pleasure.

Homebody Weekend
This past weekend, my wife and son and I spent most of it at the house. We did a few errands on Saturday and took our two year old son to the mall to let play in the indoor park there. That evening, we had a French couple and their young son over to have dinner. My wife, who is French, put out appetizers in the manner she would if she were hosting in Paris. They brought over some wine and cheese which made me silently feel as if I were in a giant cliché though the cheese was quite delicious.
Tasty Broccoli
If I had the power to change just one thing in the world, I think I would make vegetables be tastier. I know that our world suffers many more ills than this but I didn’t really want to focus on some of the more terrible ones. A change like this would aid us all in eating healthier while still being able to savor what was set before us. I am aware that there are some odd people that already truly love vegetables so perhaps I should have just chosen for the rest of the population to get tongues cloned from them.

Pleasant Melodies
My music tastes have changed over the years but I’ve always consistently enjoyed a capella music. Groups that can blend their voices in intricate harmonies without the aid of instruments amaze me. I don’t own many albums of such music but I don’t really buy music of any kind. I also like any song that tells a story which I find to be more and more rare these days. I guess my least favorite music is any type that has offensive lyrics and is focused solely on a debauched type of lifestyle. I know a lot of people would throw rap into that category but I think it turns up in all sorts of music.
The French Alps
My wife is French and we were married in Paris so we honeymooned in the French Alps. We rented a car and drove down to Chamonix which hosted one of the early Winter Olympic Games. It’s a ski resort town that sits at the base of Mont Blanc which is the highest mountain in France. I still bore anyone who will listen about how great the food was and how much they need to make the trip if they can afford it. I’ve yet to have anyone take me up on it but just telling them about the trip makes me happy.

The Money Pit
If I was given a thousand dollars to spend at only one store, I would probably choose a furniture store. It would be easier to pick out one or two big ticket items rather than some place where I might have to select ten to fifteen items just to make it to a thousand dollars. My wife has been interested in getting a second recliner to put in our upcoming baby’s room so that would probably be one of the items. We’ve also intended to get some end tables and a coffee table at some point to finish off the living room.
Working Life
I grew up in the country of Panama though I’m an American. My father was a teacher for the Department of Defense Dependent Schools so it was typical for teenagers like me to get summer jobs with the military. One summer, I worked for the JAG Corps which mainly consisted of shredding documents while reading the testimony of some rather interesting cases. One involved the foiling of an attempted bank heist by four army soldiers. I’m still not sure if I was really supposed to be reading those cases nor talking about them now but it’s an experience that’s stuck with me for over twenty years.

Destination Alaska
I have wanted to visit Alaska ever since I read Michener’s historical fiction novel, “Alaska”. I had never really known much about our fiftieth state beforehand and the book opened my eyes to the grandeur that is Alaska. I’ve heard of people driving to somewhere on the west coast of Canada and having their car taken onto a train that slowly makes its way into Alaska. At various spots, you can have your car offloaded in order to visit scenic areas along the way. Another possibility is to take a cruise from Seattle or Vancouver up to Alaska. My aunt and uncle went on one a few years ago and said it was breathtaking.
A Time Of Need
There is a time that came for me that I was not able to contain what was going on in the mist of the social circle that I was hanging in. Things were coming up missing and I was tired of it. I was going to do something that can benefit me and the rest of them. I decided to get the things that I needed through the benefits of getting fire safe safes. There were a lot of things that I was going to put into that safe, but it was going to be a special occasion for me to tell my friends about it.
